The Role • Repairing vehicle bodies following accidents or damage, including denting, welding, and replacing sheet metal parts. • Dismantling and assembling vehicle parts and components. • Working on vehicle frames and structures, including straightening with specialized equipment. • Performing operations on metal and plastic parts, such as grinding, welding, bonding, and riveting. • Replacing or repairing vehicle glazing. • Carrying out corrosion protection and sealing work. • Collaborating with painters, for example, in preparing for non-paint repairs (Smart Repair). • Inspecting and adjusting body dimensions using measuring systems. • Documenting work steps and ensuring quality assurance. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training as a Body and Vehicle Construction Mechanic (m/f/d), Bodywork Mechanic (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification in the bodywork field. • Good knowledge of body repair, sheet metal processing, and welding techniques. • General manual dexterity and technical understanding. • A valid driver's license (Class B).
