Job Description

Role: Assistant Store Manager - ARNE | Six-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full-time, six-month fixed-term contract

Start Date: ASAP - Opens Mid October

The Assistant Store Manager Role:

As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in every aspect of running a successful store. You will lead by example on the shop floor, drive an excellent customer experience and help build a confident, capable and motivated team. You will be a key part of the store leadership team from day one, taking ownership of the operation when the Store Manager is not present.

What The Assistant Store Manager Will Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Store Manager with daily operations, team deployment, opening and closing procedures

  • Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets

  • Coaching colleagues and supporting their development, confidence and performance

  • Monitoring KPIs and identifying practical ways to improve sales and efficiency

  • Maintaining high visual merchandising, stock and operational standards

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members

  • Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the store in the Store Manager's absence

  • Previous Assistant Store Manager, Deputy Manager or strong supervisory experience

  • A genuine passion for retail, product and brilliant customer service

  • The confidence to lead from the front and coach a diverse team

  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs

  • Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and key trading periods
