Market Risk Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Introduction:

This position is for a Market Risk Project Manager / Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for leading strategic technology, regulatory, and risk-transformation initiatives in the Investment Banking and Capital Markets sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects related to Market Risk, Value at Risk (VaR), Risk Sensitivities, P&L, Stress Testing, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Products, Derivatives, Complex Derivatives, Total Return Swaps (TRS), Municipal Bonds, and Interest Rate Risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of risk-transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and key milestones.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Market Risk, Value at Risk (VaR), Risk Sensitivities, P&L, Stress Testing, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Products, Derivatives, Complex Derivatives, Total Return Swaps (TRS), Municipal Bonds, and Interest Rate Risk.
• Proven experience in leading strategic technology and regulatory initiatives in the Investment Banking and Capital Markets sector.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. Basel III, Dodd-Frank).
• Knowledge of financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
