Cyber Security Analyst

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer with a specialization in Splunk or CyberArk to support ongoing enterprise operations. In light of major operational initiatives including Transmission Refresh and Gas SCADA project efforts existing staff are being realigned, and these positions will serve as dedicated operational backfills to maintain day-to-day security monitoring, access management, and infrastructure stability. Candidates must have a strong foundational background as a Cybersecurity Analyst with focused engineering expertise in either Splunk or CyberArk environments.

Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain, and support day-to-day operations for critical security technologies, specifically Splunk SIEM or CyberArk PAM platforms.
Perform routine security monitoring, log analysis, system administration, and incident response tasks to ensure uninterrupted security coverage.
Backfill operational roles to allow project teams to focus on core infrastructure initiatives, including Transmission Refresh and Gas SCADA upgrades.
Administer system configurations, rule deployments, user access controls, and vault policies according to organizational security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and Security teams to troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and ensure compliance with security policies.
Monitor health, performance, and log data ingestion across critical network and operational infrastructure

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Cybersecurity Analyst space.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in either Splunk or CyberArk environments.
Strong working knowledge of enterprise security operations, threat detection, privilege access management, and log management.
Solid understanding of core network and infrastructure concepts supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across team boundaries.
