Mechanical Designer (SMR) | Camden, NJ, United States | Hybrid

The Role
- Model and create detailed drawings of components and structures for a novel nuclear power plant.
- Execute design activities including CAD, design for manufacturability, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and rigorously review engineering models and drawings to support analysis and licensing.
- Develop concept designs from broad requirements into mature, detailed designs through research and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to refine designs.
- Support the preparation of design deliverables, presentations, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
What You'll Need
- Associate degree in Drafting and Design, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, or a closely related field; or 2+ years of a BS in Engineering completed.
- Proven working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and a track record of producing error-free technical documents.
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated good judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
