The Role

• Coordinate the nursing schedule to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
• Identify and recommend improvements in nursing department staffing effectiveness.
• Advise supervisors on potential issues with the nursing schedule and staffing ratios.
• Ensure compliance of employee files with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Schedule and inform nursing staff of their assigned shifts and educational opportunities.
• Distribute the nursing schedule promptly and maintain document confidentiality.

What You'll Need

• High school education or equivalent.
• Proven experience in staffing or scheduling, preferably within a hospital setting.
• Excellent organizational and clerical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and draft professional correspondence.
• Understanding of Joint Commission and regulatory standards is a plus.
