Job Title: PEGA Lead Business Architect (LBA)

Location: Trenton, NJ 08625Hybrid (3 Days Remote, 2 Days On-Site)

Job Type: Contract

Note: Local candidates only. Candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days remote and 2 days onsite.

Position Summary

The PEGA Lead Business Architect (LBA) will lead multiple teams consisting of developers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to transform business requirements, process flows, use cases, and supporting integration documents into fully functional applications that meet business and user needs.

The LBA will serve as a liaison between business users, stakeholders, and technology teams, working closely with the Lead System Architect and leadership team to jointly define business and technical strategies. This role offers the opportunity to leverage a diverse skill set while participating in software development and systems integration initiatives supporting a broad range of users and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation experience, along with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate business needs and drive the development and implementation of technology solutions that address those needs.

Required Qualifications

  • PEGA Business Architect Certification required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of post-certification experience as a PEGA Business Architect.
  • Minimum of 9 years of overall relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of business analysis experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of use case development experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a PEGA Business Architect, including current certification experience.
  • Experience working in organizations that develop and deliver software solutions to customers.
  • Experience managing software functional requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level software configuration and deployment.
  • Strong experience creating requirements documentation, test cases, and training materials.
  • IT technical background is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between Business and Technology teams, effectively translating information between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business Product Owners, Stakeholders, ATCSU teams, and Lead Business Analysts to gather user stories and translate them into business requirements.
  • Understand business objectives and translate them into technology solutions and impacts.
  • Work closely with technology teams to develop solutions that align with business needs.
  • Lead multiple teams through the analysis, design, and implementation phases of projects.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Perform multiple project roles as required throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills to drive project success.
  • Document business requirements, functional designs, test scenarios, and related project artifacts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to understand business challenges and define solution requirements.
  • Capture functional software requirements and translate them into user stories.
  • Coordinate backlog reviews with Product Managers and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Lead Agile teams and Agile processes as needed.
  • Define solution acceptance criteria and support software testing efforts.
  • Publish software release notes and maintain product documentation.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for end users and stakeholders.
  • Mentor Business Analysts and other Software Development team members.
  • Incorporate industry best practices into existing processes and procedures.
  • Lead client workshops focused on software products, business processes, and solution requirements.
  • Support customer success teams and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Create wireframes to support functional requirements and solution design.
  • Conduct process, product, and solution training sessions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
