Java Backend Developer - W2

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud technologies.

Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and AI-assisted software development tools is a plus. Candidates with an interest in integrating AI capabilities into backend applications will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code following industry best practices.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and data modeling.

• Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and performance optimization.

• Integrate backend services with third-party APIs, enterprise systems, and cloud-based applications.

• Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms to support application deployment.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve application reliability.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers in an Agile environment.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, where appropriate, to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 or newer.

• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.

• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM frameworks.

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

• Experience with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

• Hands-on experience with unit testing using JUnit and Mockito.

• Understanding of authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, or Spring Security.

• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and application monitoring.

• Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
