Job Description

 We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) Administrator to manage and support Oracle Database Appliance environments. The role focuses on ODA infrastructure patching, upgrades, hardware and firmware troubleshooting, operating system administration, and ensuring the overall stability and availability of ODA platforms.

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan and execute Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) patching and upgrades, including ODA software, firmware, operating system, Grid Infrastructure, and database components.

·         Ensure ODA systems are maintained on Oracle-supported and secure versions.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, firmware, storage, networking, and Oracle Linux-related issues on ODA appliances.

·         Monitor appliance health, performance, and capacity, and proactively address potential issues.

·         Coordinate with Oracle Support for hardware failures, bug fixes, and critical incident resolution.

·         Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document resolutions for production issues.

·         Support high availability environments utilizing Oracle RAC and ASM.

·         Maintain operational documentation, patching procedures, and technical runbooks.

Required Skills

·         Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) administration.
Expertise in ODA
patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management using ODACLI.

·         Good knowledge of Oracle Linux administration and troubleshooting.

·         Experience troubleshooting firmware, hardware, storage, and networking issues on ODA platforms.

·         Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Database administration.

·         Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and monitoring tools.

·         Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.

·         Experience supporting mission-critical production database environments.

·         Exposure to Data Guard and disaster recovery environments.

Primary Focus Areas:

·         Patching Oracle Database Appliance systems and underlying components to the latest Oracle-supported versions.

·         Troubleshooting firmware, hardware, operating system, and infrastructure-related issues on ODA appliances.
