Senior Designer, UI (Product)

The Senior Designer, UI (Product) is a craft-forward role for a designer who leads through the quality of their work. You bring a sharp visual sensibility to digital product design and can translate brand expression into cohesive, high-fidelity UI systems. You work fluidly across Figma, align closely with UX partners and developers, and raise the visual bar on everything you touch.

Responsibilities

  • Own the visual expression of digital product experiences, from design systems and component libraries to high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes.
  • Translate brand identity into scalable, accessible UI patterns that work across platforms and breakpoints.
  • Drive design system contributions including tokens, component documentation, and usage guidelines in Figma.
  • Partner with UX designers to bring wireframes and flows to life with strong visual and interaction design.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-level fidelity and accurate implementation of design intent.
  • Conduct design reviews, provide clear feedback, and uphold visual quality standards across the team.
  • Present design work to stakeholders and clients with confidence, articulating visual decisions and their rationale.
  • Stay current on design trends, emerging UI patterns, and tooling to continuously push the quality of the work.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in UI or product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft.
  • A strong body of work showing mastery of typography, color, layout, and motion applied to digital products.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, auto layout, and prototyping.
  • Experience building and contributing to design systems at scale.
  • Fluent in UX fundamentals and understands how UI sits within a larger product ecosystem, making design decisions that serve the full experience, not just the surface.
  • Finds creative opportunities within the limits of technology, budget, legal requirements, and tight timelines, without using constraints as a reason to default to the obvious.
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles; comfortable working in design-to-dev handoff workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions clearly.
