Job Description

Belong to something. Believe in something. Strive for something. UHP creates professionals, builds leaders, and reveals purpose. We’re looking for people to join our team who believe this mission is worth showing up for every day.

UHP is a veteran-focused education and leadership development organization based on a scenic 800-acre campus in Northwest Arkansas.

The UHP School of Health & Performance offers program tracks in personal training, health coaching, and culinary nutrition. At the UHP Skilled Trades Institute, students earn the certifications necessary to launch careers in high-demand trades. Leadership development is baked into every program.

We also work with a network of employer and industry partners to open career pathways for our graduates. While we can't guarantee employment, everything we do is designed to give service members and veterans a real path toward meaningful careers.
Veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses are strongly encouraged to apply.

Why UHP

At UHP, you are joining more than a company — you are helping build something designed to create lasting impact.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to a mission larger than yourself

About UHP Leadership Development

UHP's Leadership Development practice works with executive teams to build alignment and surface real leadership behavior under pressure, rather than teaching leadership theory. Engagements range from single-day executive sprints to multi-day executive deployments, each built around a common approach: diagnose how a team currently operates, align leadership on where the team needs to be in the next six months, design an experience that pressure-tests the team against that goal, and close with structured reflection and a 30-60-90 day action plan.

UHP has delivered this model for organizations including a NASCAR ownership group and multiple Fortune 500 companies, with measured gains in team unity, communication, trust, and speed to decision. Several of those relationships have continued into repeat, multi-year engagement.

Role Overview

UHP is building dedicated commercial and operational leadership behind its Leadership Development offering to support growing enterprise demand. The VP of Sales & Operations owns the business side of this practice end to end: strategic positioning, pipeline development, proposal and deal structuring, and the operational infrastructure that turns a signed engagement into a well-run program. This is a new, senior addition to the team, built to scale the commercial engine without pulling the existing delivery team off the work it does best. scale the commercial engine without pulling the delivery team off the work it does best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial strategy and positioning: Develop and sharpen the strategic narrative behind UHP's executive leadership development offering, and turn UHP's differentiated capabilities into materials and conversations that resonate with senior executive audiences.

  • Business development and pipeline: Build and run a repeatable sales process for executive sprint and executive deployment engagements, identify and cultivate new enterprise relationships, and manage opportunities from first conversation through signed agreement.

  • Deal structuring and program operations: Own proposal development, custom engagement scoping, contracting, pricing, and scheduling for on-site deployments and recurring client engagements.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with the Leadership Development program and delivery team so commercial commitments are realistic and aligned with delivery capacity and program design.

This role reports to the Commercial Officer (CCO). It partners closely with the VP of Corporate Leadership & Pathways, who leads Leader Dev program design and delivery. The two roles work as peers on shared engagements, with no reporting relationship in either direction.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven track record in senior-level B2B sales or business development, ideally within professional services, executive education, or leadership consulting

  • Experience building or scaling a sales function, including process, pipeline management, and deal operations, from an early stage

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build a strategic narrative for C-suite audiences

  • Operational rigor and comfort owning contracting, pricing, and scheduling processes directly

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred

  • Experience engaging Fortune 500 or other large enterprise clients

Cultural Fit

  • Genuine passion for veteran transition and human development.

  • Comfort operating outside traditional corporate, academic, or military structures.

  • Willingness to build something new rather than maintain something established.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven, high-accountability environment.

  • Respect for the coaching profession and elite performance culture; service-oriented leadership mindset.

  • Commitment to a healthy lifestyle and to modeling the human-performance principles our trade students learn as part of the curriculum

Schedule & Environment

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required based on client engagement needs, including travel for on-site deployments.

Work Environment: Onsite at the UHP campus in Bentonville, AR, with travel as needed for client engagements. Candidates must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance of Bentonville or be willing to relocate to Northwest Arkansas.
