Senior Data Scientist / Advanced Analytics Consultant

Senior Data Scientist / AdvancedAnalytics Consultant to support a transformation initiative for a logistics client.

This is not a Project Managementor PMO role. We need someone highly hands-on with data who can take anambiguous business question, quickly analyze large datasets, apply statisticaltechniques, and translate the findings into actionable business insights.

The ideal person is essentially a hands-onData Scientist strong business problem solver logistics/supply chainunderstanding.

Location : Chicago area (preferred) but open to remote with travelto chicago

• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, fleet or operational analytics is preferred

Examples of relevant analyticscould include transportation costs, shipment/service performance, carrier orlane performance, capacity/utilization, forecasting, operational efficiency andidentifying the underlying drivers impacting cost or service.

Please prioritize candidates whoare hands-on, fast with data, quantitatively strong and business-oriented. We are notlooking for traditional PM/PMO candidates, dashboard-only BI developers, orreporting analysts.

Ideal Profile:

• Strong hands-on experience with large and complex datasets
• Strong expertise in regression analysis, statistical modeling and hypothesis testing
• Ability to analyze correlation, causality and key business drivers
• Advanced SQL and strong Python and/or R
• Ability to independently clean, manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources
• Experience developing metrics, KPIs, predictive models and data-driven insights
• Strong business problem-solving skills and ability to go from business question → data → analysis → insight → recommendation
• Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to senior business/transformation leaders
• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, fleet or operational analytics is preferred
