Sr. Java Developer Tech Lead


Location: White Plains, NY Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 day WFH)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $43/hr on W2
Experience: 10+ Years

Candidate Location: Local to NY/NJ area only

Role Overview

Seeking a Senior Java Developer Tech Lead with 10+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, MySQL, AWS log analysis, CI/CD, and application architecture, along with experience leading offshore teams.

Required Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of enterprise application development experience
  • 8+ years of:
    • Java
    • Spring Boot
    • Microservices Architecture
    • REST APIs
    • MySQL
  • AWS Log Analysis CloudWatch, application logs, monitoring dashboards
  • Architectural Design & Design Reviews
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting
  • SQL Queries & Performance Tuning
  • Jenkins / CI/CD pipelines
  • DevOps concepts
  • Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Design Patterns

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Java applications.
  • Architect and develop Spring Boot Microservices and REST APIs.
  • Review and troubleshoot application logs in AWS environments.
  • Monitor production applications and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Identify and implement permanent solutions for recurring incidents.
  • Participate in technical design and solution architecture discussions.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices.
  • Mentor and lead offshore development teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support application deployments and work closely with DevOps teams.
  • Drive technical decisions and take ownership of delivery.
