Sr. Technical Program Manager

Location: ONSITE Austin, TX
Contract: 4-6 months (contract to hire)

Start Date: ASAP
Interview Process: 2-rounds of interviews (1st hiring manager, 2nd panel w/2 team members)

NOTES FROM MANAGER:

Factory is growing, expansion for battery mfg. introducing new products, pushing limits of what we can do. Site based TPM any and all projects that come into Austin, they'll be involved. Paired with teams/manager become face of org at that site. Manage with local team. High impact on both top / bottom line. Pump out more vehicles. Battery for anything vehicles, optimus. This role is NOT CELL mfg, the entire pack that goes into the product or vehicle.

Manager is not big on candidates coming from Apple, Meta, Google.

Sr. Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Module & Pack

What to Expect:

Seeking a highly motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to join the Battery Pack Manufacturing team. You will manage program execution from product design to factory operations, collaborating with world-class engineers who design and manufacture high-volume battery lines.

The role requires a highly organized mindset, passion for launching new technologies, and exceptional ability to unite teams for results. Our manufacturing processes and schedules push physical limits, demanding extreme attention to detail while driving cross-functional teams to execute quickly and at high quality. You will foster collaboration across design engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and production to align with company priorities. Additionally, you will understand project opportunities, challenges, and dependencies; translate scattered information into concise, complete messages; and communicate them to every team member. As the business process development lead, you will develop, maintain, and implement tools and processes to accelerate battery manufacturing execution, achieve cross-functional alignment, and deliver highly efficient systems.

What You'll Do

  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches of new manufacturing lines.
  • Collaborate with global teams to develop novel and complex automation equipment.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate schedules and plans for battery manufacturing projects, including process development, validation, line design, equipment fabrication, FAT, shipping, SAT, and SOP.
  • Prepare roll-up information and reports for senior leadership on project status, blockers, and changes.
  • Coordinate build milestones with Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Production teams.
  • Track equipment readiness, project costs, and drive cost management improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership and project management to identify creative, timely solutions to key program challenges.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a mix of engineering and project management fields.
  • Can communicate with technical and non-technical team members effectively.
  • Works well under pressure and manages conflicting priorities with ease.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage large teams, and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing and new product introduction.
  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
