Insurity’s Next Senior Procurement & FinOps Specialist 

This is an opportunity to join an AI-first team that is driving agentic development across FinOps and Procurement practices utilizing tools such as Claude Code, Snowflake, and Glean, for a true business-value multi-agent architecture.

What Our Senior Procurement & FinOps Specialist Will Do 

  • Perform FinOps analysis across SaaS and assigned cloud or AI-cost categories; identify variances, optimization opportunities, allocation gaps, forecast risks, and required actions.
  • Produce reliable spend, renewal, license, and budget analysis from approved enterprise data sources; reconcile material discrepancies before presenting findings or recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, InfoSec, IT owners, and vendors to drive timely decisions, approvals, and risk resolution; escalate material commercial, operational, or financial risk.
  • Define and improve repeatable playbooks, metrics, documentation, and AI-assisted workflows for the procurement and FinOps operating model.
  • Track the Budget spend and ensure the system of record (SOR) is updated
  • Validate and reconcile vendor Order Forms against business stakeholders’ requirements
  • Review and redline vendor contracts, Order Forms, and Quotes to ensure the documents are in compliance with Insurity standards and expected service level objectives and agreements provided by Vendors.
  • Independently manage an assigned portfolio of SaaS renewals, new-vendor procurements, and associated stakeholder workplans from intake through execution and system-of-record completion.
  • Lead medium-complexity sourcing and commercial analyses, including requirements gathering, supplier research, quote/RFx comparison, total-cost analysis, and recommendation preparation.
  • Assist with driving Operational Efficiencies throughout the business by suggesting changes to the existing processes and/or systems
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to follow the defined renewal strategy 
  • Ensure all vendor renewals and new purchases are completed on time and have no operational impact 
  • Obtain all required approvals from Legal, InfoSec, Team management before the vendor contracts, Order Forms, and Quotes are signed
  • Inform the management of any out of budget spend requests
  • Assist with the analysis and potential implementation of continuous improvement efforts which could involve people, processes, or technology
  • Other duties as assigned 

Who We’re Looking For 

Perform the following skills at an advanced level:

  • Applied FinOps capability for SaaS and technology spend: interpreting spend and usage data, supporting cost allocation and forecasting, identifying optimization opportunities, and escalating material budget or renewal risks.
  • Sourcing and procurement operations capability, including independently leading medium-complexity sourcing events, developing comparison analyses, coordinating negotiations, and recommending supplier or commercial options.
  • Ability to independently manage a renewal and procurement portfolio, including timeline development, stakeholder engagement, commercial documentation, approval orchestration, and risk management.
  • Commercial and contract fluency: ability to review order forms, quotes, renewal documentation, pricing structures, and key business terms; identify discrepancies or non-standard items; and coordinate required Legal and InfoSec review.
  • AI-tool fluency: applying approved AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, stakeholder communications, and workflow automation, with sound judgment around data access, quality, and governance.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher, equivalent wok experience may be considered 

Advanced knowledge and experience with:

  • AI tools, including both Code generation tools and AI-assistance tools, such as Glean, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot
  • GitHub, or similar technology
  • Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks or similar technology
  • Excel
  • Jira
  • MS Office
