Senior Software Developer - 50% telework with Security Clearance

We'll be straight with you: we're looking for a really good software developer. Not a buzzword list. Someone who can build a feature from the database to the screen, wire it into the rest of the system, and get it through the pipeline into production. Linchpin Software is a small, growing company, and we're hiring a Senior Software Developer in Chantilly, VA (50% telework). You'll do classic full stack work: Java or .NET services, JavaScript/TypeScript UIs, real databases, and event-driven integrations built on queues and messaging. You'll own your work from design through deployment. Here's what we care about, and we hire for it:

What You'll Do

• Build full stack features: backend services in Java or .NET, front ends in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Design relational databases, write SQL that performs, and integrate applications with them
• Build event-driven components with message queues and integrate with other systems through APIs
• Ship your work through CI/CD pipelines, and fix the pipeline when it breaks
• Work directly with customers to understand the problem before writing code
• Review code, mentor teammates, and help raise the bar for the whole team Required:
• Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, or Intel Agency clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of hands-on software development
• Strong backend experience in Java or .NET (C#)
• Front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern UI framework (Angular, React, or similar)
• Solid database skills: schema design, SQL, and application integration
• Event-driven design with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, Azure Service Bus, or similar)
• Comfort in a DevOps environment: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds and tests
• Clear communication and a genuine willingness to help customers and teammates Preferred:
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Federal, defense, or intelligence program experience The Honest Details:
• Location: Chantilly, VA, 50% telework. You'll be on site about half the time, and we mean it.
• Pay: $150,000 - $230,000, based on experience and what you bring.
• Clearance: active Top Secret, TS/SCI, or Intel Agency clearance required. We can't sponsor one for this role.
