Primary Skills:

Project Manager to support the ongoing modernization of part of their old mainframe systems. Ideal candidates have recent experience planning and implementing large application systems.

Job Description:

Perform highly advanced project management work initiating and conducting enterprise-level projects. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, and has a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8 Years of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Technology Project Management, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or another relevant field.
• 8 Years of Responsible for fulfilling the terms of the project contract or specifications, and ensuring they are completed within budget, scope, and on-time.
• 8 Years of Monitors and manages project quality and cost to ensure that project deliverables are acceptable.
• 8 Years of Maintaining and providing risk and issues log. Provide analysis and plans for resolving major issues as they come up.
• 8 Years of Performs advanced project and contract management work including detailed project planning, oversight, and tracking using accepted project management methodologies.
• 3 Years of Experience in managing Major Information Resources projects (MIRP)
• 3 Years of Responsible for leading MIRP projects through lifecycle from project initiation through completion.
• 3 Years of Knowledge about DIR's Texas Project Delivery Framework, templates, and tools. Experience in following DIR's QAT best practices.
• 3 Years of Experience with QAT review processes
• 3 Years of Provide regular status reports of MIRPs to QAT for monitoring purposes. Prepare QAT Annual/quarterly Reports
• 3 Years of Maintaining and provide project performance metrics as per DIR's MIRP guidelines
