Shift Engineer

Supporting the Head of Engineering (HOE) in ensuring effectiveness of plant machinery, maintenance and utilities. Description To take a full and active role in the operation of the Engineering Department.<br />To take an active role in promoting good Health &amp; Safety practices within the department and site.<br />To assist with the implementation of all planned preventative maintenance activities.<br />To be pro-active in seeking remedies to minimise any down time which may affect the operation of the production facility.<br />To follow safe systems of work for engineering activities.<br />Liaise with the Production team to ensure any required maintenance or emergency repairs minimise disruption whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.<br />Take a pro-active role in daily, weekly or monthly machinery checks and repairs.<br />Deal with day-to-day housekeeping issues across the business covering electrical and mechanical equipment.<br />Adhere to strictest confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial and salary matters.<br />Attend call outs for serious breakdowns if required.Shift pattern- 4 on 4 off- 2 days, 2 nights Profile A strong technical background in engineering and manufacturing.<br />Conversant with PLC's.<br />Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the engineering field.<br />Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br />Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering.Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from £54,000 per annum.<br />Permanent position with opportunities for growth.<br />Employee assistance programme<br />Pension scheme
