Quality Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Engineer - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Oklahoma City, OK; or Omaha, NE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with 5 days per month remote work flexibility.

Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role focuses on conducting functional, integration, system, and end-to-end testing to verify system functionality and user workflows against business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and executing automated tests using frameworks such as Playwright with Java, in addition to performing API and manual testing as needed within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional, integration, system, and end-to-end (E2E) testing
• Perform regression testing after each build/release to ensure previously working functionality remains intact
• Create and maintain comprehensive test cases and regression test suites using a risk-based testing approach
• Perform UI testing for web applications and API testing to validate REST/SOAP services
• Log and track defects through their lifecycle, perform defect verification, and provide root-cause analysis
• Code and troubleshoot Java code on a daily basis
• Develop configurable, maintainable, reusable, and dependable test automation components
• Execute test plans, record and report results, and assist with analyzing test outcomes
• Prepare and acquire test data and conduct peer reviews of test work products
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of test environments

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically requires at least 3+ years of relevant experience (6-10 years preferred)
• Experience with Playwright Automation Framework using Java
• Experience with UFT and VB scripting, and functional testing experience
• Experience with API automation using Java Rest Assured or similar frameworks, and hands-on experience with Postman
• Experience with test management tools including XRAY or similar tools
• Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile
• Strong analytical, multitasking, and time management skills
• This position is hybrid, requiring candidates to live within a commutable distance (120 miles) of Kansas City, Denver, Oklahoma City, or Omaha, with onsite presence required and 5 days per month remote work flexibility
• United States citizenship or lawful permanent resident alien status with at least three or more years of United States residency is required
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
