Job Description

Architectural Team Member – Meraki Architects, LLC

About Us

Meraki Architects, LLC is a boutique design firm in Middleburg Heights, Ohio built on a simple but demanding premise: we put our heart and soul into every project. “Meraki” is a Greek word meaning to do something with soul, creativity, and love — and that is not just our name, it is our standard.

Our work spans residential design, ecclesiastical architecture, and international projects including current work in American Samoa. We are a small, close-knit team where every person’s contribution matters and no two projects are alike.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Team Member to work directly alongside our firm principal. This is a hands-on, design-forward position with real ownership over project outcomes and client relationships. If architecture is your passion — not just your profession — this role was written for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple projects from concept through construction documents
  • Develop architectural drawings: plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
  • Meet with clients and guide projects through key milestones
  • Conduct site visits and field surveys
  • Attend city and municipal meetings as needed
  • Perform quality control reviews for code compliance and accuracy
  • Research zoning, building codes, and materials

How to Apply

Send your resume, cover letter, and portfolio with “Architectural Team Member” in the subject line. Tell us why you love architecture — that matters to us.

No phone calls, please.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from an accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional architectural office
  • Advanced proficiency in 2D AutoCAD including X-Ref management
  • Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D design and client presentations
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods
  • Excellent communication skills — this role is client-facing
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and meets deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Bonus: Experience with Twinmotion, hand sketching, or ecclesiastical/residential/international project types.

Benefits

  • 9 paid holidays + PTO
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions
  • IRA with employer contributions
  • Professional development support
  • Meaningful, diverse project work
