Java Backend Engineer - Contract

Location: Manchester - Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6 months rolling
IR35: Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise project, working on modern cloud-native and distributed applications.

Key Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+

• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture

• Development and integration of REST APIs

• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Docker and Kubernetes

• CI/CD experience using Git, Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions

• Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases

• Automated testing and software engineering best practices

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
