Foundry Developer
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Role Overview
We are seeking a Foundry Developer to build applications within Palantir Foundry and Army Vantage. This role involves taking data, building workflows, creating user-facing applications, and making data usable for personnel. The ideal candidate has experience building and deploying Foundry applications and is not just an end user. This position supports the modernization of legacy applications through low-code/no-code development. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Build Foundry Workshop applications.
• Create data pipelines using Code Repositories or Pipeline Builder, including incremental transforms and scheduling.
• Develop and extend the Ontology with object types, link types, and action types.
• Connect data sources to applications to support operational users.
• Maintain data health and lineage using expectations and checks.
• Implement security and governance through markings, restricted views, and mandatory controls.
• Read, debug, and write Python and PySpark for data engineering workflows.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of related technical experience is required. Experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Technical Skills:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, and Workshop development.
• Proficiency with Python and PySpark.
• Understanding of Ontology, including object types, links, and actions.
• Experience building data pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with data modeling and pipeline orchestration in platforms like Vantage or ADVANA.

General Skills:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Experience working on a Scrumban team in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• TypeScript Functions and custom React widgets for Workshop.
• OSDK application development outside of Workshop.
• Palantir certifications (MCP, Data Engineer, or Application Developer track).
• Experience with Palantir MAVEN or developing in Army 365 (A365).
• Familiarity with the Azure Data/AI stack (Azure Databricks, Synapse, or Data Factory).
• Experience developing with the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
• Experience developing with Databricks.
