Night Shift Engineer

Our client is a well-established food manufacturer and with continued investment in their site and production lines, they're looking for a skilled Night Shift Engineer to join their engineering team and keep operations running safely and efficiently through the night.<br /><br />The role:<br /><br />You'll respond to breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance and look for ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Working closely with production teams, you'll play a key part in hitting output targets while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.<br /><br />Key responsibilities:<br /><br />- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on high-speed production and packaging equipment<br />- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule<br />- Support continuous improvement projects and root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues<br />- Complete accurate records of work carried out using CMMS system<br />- Work in line with food safety, hygiene and health &amp; safety requirements, including safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures<br />- Hand over clearly to the day shift team to ensure continuity<br /><br />What you'll need:<br /><br />- An engineering qualification<br />- Multi-skilled experience, ideally gained in food, FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment<br />- Strong fault-finding skills <br />- Comfortable making sound decisions under pressure<br /><br />For further information, please call Josh on 01780 483 999 or email <br /><br />As you know over here at Zest we like to do things properly and always want to keep you, the candidate in the loop.
