Field Support Technicians

Job Description:

DXC Technology is seeking Field Support Technicians based in Brisbane to provide IT support to customers across a range of workplace environments.

The role involves supporting end users with their day-to-day technology needs, maintaining workplace equipment, and ensuring incidents and service requests are recorded and managed accurately.

Work Arrangement :

• On-call requirement, car etc: On Call
• Shift work or no: No (8-4 or 9-5)
• WFH flexibility: once a month

• When are we looking for the desired candidate to start (roughly): next 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to a range of users, including senior executives.

• Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

• Support users face to face, by telephone, and through remote support tools.

• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of end-user hardware and software.

• Accurately record and manage IT assets, incidents, service requests, and work orders.

• Service Now experience is a plus.

• Prioritize incoming requests and existing work based on urgency and business requirements.

• Maintain accurate service records, time entries, and technical notes.

• Follow workplace health and safety requirements to protect yourself, colleagues, and customers.

• Complete assigned tasks within agreed service timeframes.

• A working knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and organize workloads.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• A customer-focused approach and the ability to assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and other technical teams.

• Good time management and organizational skills.

• A professional approach to customer interactions.

• A current Australian driver's license.
