Overview

Our client is evaluating a potential initiative to simplify and standardize their integration architecture using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). This effort is being driven at the CIO level and would focus on defining a scalable, long-term integration strategy between Oracle Cloud applications and external systems.

This is not an immediate opening but a high-priority potential project expected to follow a major Oracle Cloud deployment currently underway in Italy. The initiative is currently in early planning stages and is contingent on budget approval.

Project Context

• Organization is undergoing a broader Oracle Cloud transformation
• Current focus is a large-scale Italy implementation (next ~6 months)
• Post-implementation, leadership is exploring:
  • Simplifying existing integrations
  • Defining OIC architectural standards and layers
  • Creating a more scalable, maintainable integration framework
• Initiative is being sponsored by the CIO, pending CFO budget approval

Core Responsibilities

• Assess current integration landscape across Oracle Cloud and third-party systems
• Define and design a future-state OIC architecture and integration strategy
• Establish best practices for:
  • Integration layers and patterns
  • API management and governance
  • Error handling, monitoring, and scalability
• Lead design sessions with IT leadership and business stakeholders
• Provide recommendations on standardization, simplification, and performance optimization
• Potentially guide implementation and oversee integration development (if project is approved)

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
• Proven background designing enterprise integration architectures
• Experience integrating Oracle Cloud (Fusion ERP/HCM/SCM) with external systems
• Deep understanding of:
  • API-led architecture
  • Middleware and integration patterns
  • Data transformation and orchestration
• Ability to operate at both strategic (architecture) and hands-on (execution) levels

Preferred Experience

• Experience in large-scale Oracle Cloud transformations
• Exposure to multi-region/global implementations
• Prior experience defining integration governance models
• Familiarity with related Oracle tools (SOA, OCI, API Gateway, etc.)

• This is a forward-looking opportunity, not an active opening today
• Timeline dependent on:
  • Completion of Oracle Italy implementation
  • Internal alignment with CIO
  • Budget approval from CFO
• Follow-up discussions expected mid-May to determine next steps
