The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient freight movement. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Safely position containers and chassis using hostlers for optimal yard organization. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container moves. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is essential for this role. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs. • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
