We're looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our friendly team at Moss Lodge in Rochdale, supporting adults with mental health needs, autism and learning disabilities.

🌟 What Will You Be Doing?

No two days will be exactly the same! You'll provide practical, emotional and person-centred support, helping individuals work towards their goals and enjoy greater independence.

A key part of this role will be supporting people to access the community, attend appointments and take part in meaningful activities.

This could include:

🚗 Supporting appointments: Accompanying individuals to GP appointments, hospital visits, health reviews and other important commitments.

🎨 Planning activities: Helping organise and deliver activities within Moss Lodge that encourage social interaction, confidence, creativity and wellbeing.

🌳 Getting out and about: Supporting people to explore the local community, enjoy walks, visit local places, attend activities or simply enjoy a change of scenery.

☕ Building relationships: Spending quality time with the people we support, getting to know their personalities, interests and aspirations.

🧩 Promoting independence: Encouraging individuals to develop everyday living skills, make their own choices and build confidence.

💬 Providing emotional support: Being someone who listens, understands and offers reassurance when needed.

📝 Recording and communicating: Maintaining accurate records and sharing important information with colleagues to ensure consistent support.

🛡️ Promoting safety and wellbeing: Following individual support plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
