• We're seeking an experienced contract UI/UX designer to support a product team that currently has no dedicated design or UAT owner.

• The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on product design experience with enterprise or internal business applications - not primarily consumer or marketing work - and can operate independently with minimal day-to-day product management support.

• Core skills include user research and discovery (stakeholder interviews, workflow shadowing, and journey mapping), translating ambiguous business requirements into wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready designs in Figma, and building or extending a reusable component library and design system.

• The contractor should be comfortable partnering directly with engineering leads and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and should be able to own user acceptance testing end to end: writing UAT scripts, coordinating and facilitating test sessions with business users, capturing and triaging defects, and driving issues to closure.

• Experience designing for operational or manufacturing environments - shop-floor users, high-throughput data entry, dashboards, role-based workflows, and non-desk/tablet form factors - is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with agile delivery is expected. T

• his is a hands-on individual contributor engagement; we need someone who can move from discovery to delivered design

• Also, familiarity with the Palantir platform will be a plus, although not required.
