Job Description

Mutual of Omaha is seeking an HR Leave Specialist to administer employee leave programs in a dynamic Fortune 500 finance and insurance environment. In this role, you will manage FMLA, ADA, and other leave of absence requests, ensure legal and policy compliance, and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers. You will coordinate with payroll, benefits, and HR partners, maintain accurate HRIS records, and support return-to-work and accommodation processes. Responsibilities

  • Administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave of absence programs for employees
  • Review, validate, and process leave requests and related documentation
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employees and managers on leave policies

  • Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and HR partners on leave impacts
  • Maintain accurate leave records and update HRIS systems
  • Communicate leave decisions, timelines, and requirements clearly
  • Support return-to-work processes and reasonable accommodation efforts
  • Generate reports and metrics on leave activity and trends
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of leave policies and procedures
