GIS Operations Officer

Vantor seeks a GIS Operations Officer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of GIS-enabled software solutions for client operations. You will manage end-to-end GIS workflows, integrate spatial data into modern web apps, and collaborate with engineers, data teams, and clients to translate business needs into scalable, cloud-based geospatial services. Responsibilities include administering GIS platforms, overseeing spatial data quality, building automation pipelines, defining standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring secure, reliable operations. You'll work in an agile, low-ego environment with strong opportunities for growth across data, cloud, and full-stack delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee GIS-enabled operational solutions for client projects
• Administer and optimize GIS platforms, services, and infrastructure
• Integrate spatial data into web applications and cloud-based services
• Develop and maintain automated data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Ensure spatial data quality, governance, and security standards
• Monitor performance, reliability, and uptime of GIS operations
• Collaborate with software, data, and cloud engineers in agile teams
• Translate client operational needs into scalable GIS workflows
• Document architectures, standards, and runbooks for GIS operations
• Support troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement
