Quick overview
Job description
Overview
We're hiring Production Packers to join a large, established plastics manufacturing facility.
Phone interviews and onsite interviews are being scheduled this week.
In this hands-on manufacturing role, you'll help move products through the final stages of production, including assembly, finishing, inspection, and packaging. Depending on your assigned station, you may be responsible for checking finished products, packing materials, moving components, or supporting the flow of the production line.
This is an active, fast-paced environment where you'll spend your shift on your feet, working with your hands, and helping your team hit daily production targets. No previous manufacturing experience is necessary. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door in manufacturing, gain valuable hands-on experience, and build a foundation for long-term career growth. We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable with physical work and eager to develop new skills.
Why this opportunity stands out:
- Half the Month Off: Rotating 12-hour schedules give you approximately 50% of your days off, with both day and night shifts available
- Room to Grow: Opportunities to move into higher-skilled production and leadership positions, with advancement often coming from within
- Build New Skills: Gain experience across different production stations, assembly processes, equipment, tools, and quality procedures
Compensation
- $15/hr – Day Shift
- $16/hr – Night Shift
- Built-in overtime with rotating shift schedules
- Full-time, direct-hire employment – not a temporary assignment
- Opportunities for growth into advanced manufacturing positions
Shift
We're hiring for multiple positions across day and night shifts:
- Day Shift: 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
- Night Shift: 12-hour shifts on a rotating 4-on / 4-off schedule
Responsibilities
- Production Assembly: Put together manufactured parts and components using basic instructions and established assembly methods.
- Packing & Packaging: Prepare finished products by sorting, stacking, wrapping, strapping, labeling, and packaging materials for shipment or storage.
- Line Production Support: Handle materials coming off the production line, maintain an efficient workflow, and help ensure production stays on schedule.
- Product Inspection: Check components and completed products for visible defects, damage, and other quality concerns.
- Material Movement: Lift, carry, load, unload, and organize materials and finished products within the manufacturing area.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and follow all facility safety guidelines and operating procedures.
- Collaboration & Training: Support fellow team members and learn additional production tasks and workstations as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to handle physically demanding production work during a 12-hour shift
- Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving materials regularly
- Willingness to work with basic hand tools and manufacturing equipment
- Commitment to maintaining safety and product quality standards
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions and established procedures
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production
- Previous experience assembling manufactured products or components
- Background working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Familiarity with visual quality checks or in-process product inspections
