Job Description

AI Business Analyst - Finance Systems and Processes
London, hybrid | Global energy business

A global energy business is hiring a Senior AI Business Analyst into its Finance function. You'll help decide where GenAI and automation genuinely earn their place, then own the analysis that gets them delivered responsibly.

The AI Business Analyst role

  • Identifying and qualifying AI use cases across finance, from root cause analysis through feasibility to business case
  • Owning requirements definition and prioritisation on AI and automation initiatives, including user stories and AI-assisted user journeys
  • Modelling business processes, data and AI-assisted workflows with subject matter experts

Essential experience for the AI Business Analyst

  • Commercial GenAI delivery: use cases taken into live production in a business setting, not pilots or personal experimentation
  • Requirements gathering and translation into functional and technical specifications
  • Business process modelling and workflow automation
  • Full life-cycle ownership of business applications, in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
  • Finance systems and processes in a regulated environment
