Systems Administrator – AWS GovCloud with Security Clearance

We are seeking an Active DoD Secret‑cleared Systems Administrator to support classified AWS GovCloud (US) infrastructure for a mission‑critical Department of Defense program at Scott Air Force Base. This role is on‑site and supports secure IL4/IL5 environments. What You’ll Be Doing
- Administer and maintain Windows Server systems supporting classified workloads in AWS GovCloud
- Manage and support AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and KMS
- Ensure compliance with RMF, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP High, and NIST 800‑53
- Perform system patching, backups, logging, and monitoring
- Support ATO activities, POA&Ms, audits, and continuous monitoring efforts
- Implement and enforce security best practices including access controls and logging
- Provide Tier 3 support and participate in incident response and root‑cause analysis
- Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance (must be current)
- Security+ CE or higher (IAT Level II or III)
- 3+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience
- Hands‑on experience supporting AWS GovCloud (US) environments
- Experience working in classified or DoD‑regulated environments
- Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, and security compliance processes
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IL5 / IL6 workloads
- Automation or scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform)
- Experience with centralized logging or SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK)
- Prior experience working with DISA or government assessment teams
- GIS / Geospatial / ESRI experience (highly desirable) Additional Information
