Gilmer Warehouse & Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Demand Planner to support one of our largest customer accounts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the right materials and inventory are available to support production, customer demand, and supply chain efficiency. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data, and enjoys collaborating with both internal teams and external customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to demand planning across multiple facilities and grow into broader supply chain leadership responsibilities. 

What You'll Do 

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts to support inventory planning and production scheduling. 

• Forecast and order raw materials to ensure uninterrupted operations. 

• Analyze customer demand, inventory levels, and business trends to identify supply requirements. 

• Manage inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies. 

• Coordinate closely with operations, warehouse, purchasing, customer service, and production teams. 

• Work within SAP, customer planning systems, and internal warehouse management systems (WMS). 

• Monitor inventory performance and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels and working capital. 

• Communicate daily with customers and suppliers regarding product availability, forecasts, and inventory needs. 

• Analyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators. 

• Support physical inventory activities and inventory audits as needed. 

• Assist with supply chain planning initiatives, process improvements, and reporting. 

• Respond proactively to changing customer requirements, production schedules, and inventory challenges. 

What We're Looking For 

• 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, forecasting, or a related field. 

• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar planning platforms. 

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, formulas, reporting, and pivot tables. 

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations. 

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners. 

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, logistics, food production, or 3PL environments is preferred.
