Full Stack Developer ATF with Security Clearance

Full Stack Developer Location: Washington, DC | Hybrid, 4 Days per Week Onsite Experience: 5+ Years Required Clearance: Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain required Public Trust/background suitability Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to build and enhance web-based financial and budgeting applications. This position will work across frontend development, backend services, APIs, data integration, workflow automation, and application security. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills combined with hands-on experience using a modern JavaScript framework such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular. Experience developing financial, budgeting, forecasting, or other data-intensive business applications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive enterprise web applications. Develop frontend interfaces, backend services, business logic, workflows, and application integrations. Build interactive interfaces that allow users to modify financial variables, compare scenarios, and review calculated results. Create RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services connecting frontend applications with backend systems and datasets. Develop backend functionality using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django, or comparable server-side technologies.

Implement client-side state management for complex user inputs, permissions, calculations, and application configurations. Build high-performance data grids that support large datasets, user input, filtering, sorting, and analysis. Partner with database and data engineering teams to integrate application functionality with enterprise data pipelines. Use SQL to work with structured datasets and support application functionality. Perform data modeling, validation, transformation, and integration activities. Conduct unit and system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Support software releases, production deployments, application enhancements, and ongoing maintenance. Maintain technical documentation, deployment information, application configuration details, and data documentation. Apply appropriate security, accessibility, usability, and data governance standards. Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of professional application development or full-stack software engineering experience.

Strong hands-on Python development experience. Strong SQL skills.
3+ years of professional experience with at least one of the following:
React.js
Vue.js
Angular
Strong HTML5 and CSS3 development experience. Experience building responsive interfaces using Flexbox, CSS Grid, or similar modern techniques. Experience with CSS frameworks or preprocessors such as Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, SASS, or LESS. Experience with client-side state management using Redux, Zustand, Context API, or comparable technologies.

Experience implementing sophisticated data tables using AG Grid, Handsontable, or similar libraries. Experience developing backend application logic with Python, preferably FastAPI or Django, or Node.js. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services. Experience working with data-intensive enterprise applications. Experience within an Agile software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience building financial management, budgeting, forecasting, spend analysis, or financial planning applications.
Finance, accounting, or enterprise budgeting experience.
Experience integrating BI and analytics tools with enterprise databases.
Power BI experience.
AWS analytics or BI experience.
Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Experience implementing role-based application security.
Knowledge of data governance and accessibility standards.
Experience supporting regulated or public-sector environments.
