SAP Pricing Consultant

Location: Loveland, Colorado (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking an SAP Pricing Consultant for a highly operational role focused on SAP PIR (Purchasing Info Record) pricing and costing. The position involves maintaining pricing data, executing manual cost updates, managing purchase order impacts, handling vendor pricing information, and addressing cost-related business inquiries. The ideal candidate is a proactive, independent worker who can start immediately with minimal oversight. Strong experience in pricing/costing processes and exceptional Excel skills are more critical than advanced SAP expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual updates to Purchasing Info Records (PIRs) and manage pricing adjustments and cost maintenance within SAP.
• Support costing processes by answering business questions, assisting with replacement cost updates, and conducting cost analysis.
• Review and resolve costing questions related to purchase orders and understand the impact of pricing on procurement workflows.
• Administer vendor pricing by pulling price sheets, maintaining pricing information, and communicating with vendors.
• Conduct data analysis and validation in Excel to ensure pricing and cost accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with Purchasing Info Records (PIRs) in SAP, including an understanding of pricing maintenance and cost updates.
• A background in supporting cost maintenance, replacement cost updates, product pricing, and cost analysis.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis with large datasets.
• General understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and how pricing and costing impact purchase orders and procurement workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate with minimal oversight.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Exposure to SAP testing activities, such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Experience with pricing automation initiatives or process improvements related to manual SAP pricing activities.
• Background in vendor management, including direct communication with suppliers regarding pricing updates.
• Data analytics experience beyond Excel, such as data validation and cost trend analysis.
