About the Team

You'll join a team where people work with integrity, inclusion, innovation, agility, collaboration and commitment. In practice, that means sharing ownership, solving complex problems together and staying connected to the customer context, the purpose behind the work and how each role contributes to meaningful outcomes. Mission Software Systems (MSS) brings together expertise across intelligence, software, and cloud to deliver end-to-end capability supporting the full intelligence lifecycle, from planning through to dissemination and feedback. The team fosters a culture of innovation, leveraging modern engineering practices and shared infrastructure to rapidly build, test, and deploy software solutions across a range of environments, including cloud. MSS also plays a key role in advancing technology modernisation within Government, delivering scalable and adaptable solutions for complex enterprise challenges.

In this role, you will lead test planning, governance and delivery across complex systems and integrated environments. You will coordinate test resources, environments, data and dependencies to provide confidence that solutions meet functional, technical and operational requirements. Develop the test strategy, master test plan, schedules, entry and exit criteria, and reporting framework. Coordinate functional, system, integration, performance, security and user acceptance testing across delivery teams. Manage defects, test risks, environment constraints and dependencies, ensuring issues are clearly prioritised and escalated. Provide evidence-based reporting on test progress, coverage, quality and release readiness. Develop capabilities for both procedural and automated testing.

About You

Essential: Experience managing testing across complex technology, engineering or transformation programs. Capability in test strategy, planning, estimation, execution oversight and reporting. Knowledge of functional, integration, system and acceptance testing approaches. Experience managing defects, traceability, test environments, data and release dependencies. Ability to lead test teams and coordinate vendors, engineers and business representatives. Ability to communicate quality risks and readiness recommendations to governance forums.

Advantageous: Experience with ASDEFCON testing programs. Experience with test automation, performance testing or service virtualisation. Relevant testing certification or qualification. Exposure to large-scale systems integration or regulated environments.
