Job Description

About us

Gimlet is building the first multi-silicon neocloud designed for fast, efficient AI inference.

We combine large-scale compute infrastructure with an execution platform that partitions AI workloads and maps each stage to the hardware best suited to run it.

We work with foundation labs, hyperscalers, and AI-native companies, giving our team access to technical problems spanning frontier models, production infrastructure, and emerging hardware.

About the role

As a Legal Intern at Gimlet, you will support legal work across commercial agreements, corporate matters, infrastructure projects, financing activities, and legal operations. You will work closely with the legal and business teams on matters that directly support Gimlet’s growth.

You will conduct legal research, review agreements, organize diligence materials, and help build the templates and processes behind a growing legal function. This role offers hands-on exposure to the legal questions involved in building AI infrastructure, including cloud services, data centers, hardware procurement, strategic partnerships, intellectual property, and emerging regulation.

What success looks like

During your internship, you will:

  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical summaries for the legal and business teams

  • Support the review and organization of commercial agreements, corporate records, and transaction materials

  • Assist with diligence for infrastructure, financing, partnership, and other strategic matters

  • Track contract terms, obligations, approvals, and follow-up items

  • Help develop legal templates, playbooks, trackers, and internal processes

  • Work across Legal, Finance, Operations, Infrastructure, and Go-to-Market on active business priorities

  • Build an understanding of how legal judgment supports execution in a fast-growing technology company

You may be a good fit if you have

  • Current enrollment in an accredited JD program

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

  • The ability to communicate clearly and synthesize complex information

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information

  • An interest in technology, commercial transactions, corporate law, or infrastructure

  • The ability to work independently, ask thoughtful questions, and manage multiple priorities

Strong candidates may also have

  • Completed coursework in contracts, corporations, intellectual property, privacy, or technology law

  • Experience at a law firm, in-house legal team, government agency, clinic, or legal research organization

  • Familiarity with commercial contracts, corporate governance, diligence, or legal operations

  • An interest in AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, semiconductors, or emerging technology regulation

  • Experience building trackers, templates, knowledge bases, or other systems that improve how work gets done

Why join now?

Gimlet is expanding from its core technology into a production neocloud spanning new hardware, customers, and data centers.

  • Solve hard problems.

  • Own meaningful work.

  • Build for production.

  • Help define what’s next.
