Biostatistician

Pay Range: $34/hr-$36/hr

I m currently recruiting for a Biostatistician opportunity with a leading healthcare organization. This is a 1-year contract with potential extension and possible full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

Location: Remote
Schedule: PST hours, 8 AM 5 PM
Contract: 1 year + potential extension

About the Role

This position will support vaccine safety and effectiveness research using real-world healthcare data. You ll work closely with researchers, Principal Investigators, and Project Managers across multiple research projects.

The role will involve:

  Using SQL to query and extract healthcare data

  
  


• 
  

  Cleaning and preparing data using R or Python

  
  


• 
  

  Performing statistical analyses and building statistical models

  
  


• 
  

  Working with study protocols and research requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting vaccine safety and effectiveness studies

  
  


• 
  

  Communicating findings to research teams

  
  


• 
  

  Contributing to research intended for publication in medical journals

  
  

What We re Looking For

• 
  

  1 5 years of relevant research/data experience

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with real-world healthcare data

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with R or Python and SQL

  
  


• 
  

  Experience extracting, preparing, and analyzing data

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of statistical analysis and statistical modeling

  
  


• 
  

  Bachelor s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Psychology, or a related field

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to understand study protocols and collaborate with researchers and project managers

  
  

Nice to Have

• 
  

  Previous experience with the client/organization

  
  


• 
  

  Healthcare or university research experience

  
  


• 
  

  Vaccine safety or effectiveness research experience

  
  


• 
  

  Master s degree or PhD in a relevant field

  
  


• 
  

  Research Assistant or Teaching Assistant experience

  
  


• 
  

  SAS experience

  
  

The team is especially interested in candidates with prior experience working with the organization, but this is not required.
