Job Title: Technical Project Manager Supply Chain/Logistics

Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite 4 days/week Monday Thursday)

Duration: Contract, with strong possibility of Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

Client, a growing player in the solar energy space, is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a background in Supply Chain and Logistics to join their Fremont, CA team. This role will drive cross-functional technical projects, working closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing/solar environment. This is an onsite role requiring local candidates who can be in-office Monday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for technical initiatives tied to supply chain and logistics operations (procurement, inventory, materials planning, vendor coordination, distribution)
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Manage stakeholder communication across engineering, operations, procurement, and executive teams
  • Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative project delivery, and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate for hardware/manufacturing timelines
  • Track and report project status, risks, issues, and dependencies using Jira
  • Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as needed
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (material shortages, vendor delays, logistics bottlenecks)
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers on delivery timelines, quality, and cost
  • Drive process improvements across supply chain and project execution workflows
  • Prepare and present project status reports and dashboards to leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated background in Supply Chain and/or Logistics (manufacturing, hardware, energy, or related industry preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for project tracking
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Fremont, CA, 4 days/week (Mon Thurs)
  • Local candidates only (must be able to commute without relocation assistance)
  • Available for immediate start

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM, or similar project management/Agile certification
  • Experience in solar, renewable energy, or manufacturing sectors
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Experience managing vendor/supplier relationships in a hardware supply chain

Additional Details

  • Engagement Type: Contract, Contract-to-Hire potential
  • Onsite Requirement: 4 days/week, Monday Thursday
  • Start Date: Immediate
