Cost Technician / Contract / Hybrid / Valparaiso, IN

Our client, a well-known electric and gas provider, is actively hiring a Cost Technician to join their team in Valparaiso, IN! This role will be hybrid and requires 3x a week onsite.
In this role, you will maintain multiple project cost control data files for detailed and summary-level information on projects throughout various stages of the project's life cycle. You will process project timesheets, ensure the accuracy of invoices, and obtain payment approval for those from project managers.
Contract Duration: 1 year
Required Skills:

• High school diploma required
• 5+ years of experience
• Prior experience working with timesheet-related data

What you will do:

• Establish lines of communication with various departments
• Communicate with suppliers, project staff, and other stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist in annual budget development, preparation, and associated reporting
• Perform standard project and special project cost reporting as required by the project stakeholders
