Our clients include major Hollywood studios and dozens of independent studios. To date, we’ve delivered thousands of titles to iTunes, Google, Netflix, Amazon, and others. We’ve created a large percentage of iTunes Extras titles available on the App Store, developed the specification of and delivered the first Cross-Platform Extras titles, authored more than eight-thousand DVDs, two-thousand Blu-rays, as well as award-winning tablet and mobile apps. 

About the role 

Due to increased demand for localized content, Pixelogic is looking for experienced Zulu transcribers and Zulu-to-English subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high-performing collaboration as part of our language services department with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end-to-end projects. 

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads. 

Due to the sensitive nature of the delivery schedule, time flexibility is of paramount importance. 

Responsibilities 

• Transcribe and/or translate Zulu into English or proofread/QC subtitle files using Pixelogic proprietary cloud based subtitling software 
• Leverage in-house glossary tool for consistency across products as well as follow client style guide specifications 
• Handle rejections/make corrections in files 
• Remain current with industry trends, and adapt to evolving client requirements 
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content. 

Requirements: 

• Zulu and English bilingual
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset 
• Minimum of 1 years of translation and/or proofreading experience required
• Subtitling experience is a plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy 
• Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours) 
• Ability to follow technical / style guide for multiple client content types
