Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is a leading nonprofit provider of disability services. We primarily serve children from birth to 8 years with a variety of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida and physical and developmental delays. Our services include Approved Private School, special classrooms, summer programs, assistive technology, early intervention programs and various outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy programs. Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic School Bus and School Van Attendants for our Transportation department. Full-time and part-time positions are available to assist with the transport of preschool children with special needs to and from our school locations. The Attendant positions involve Monday through Friday for scheduled days of programs during the school year plus a 6-week summer program.
Responsibilities include assisting pre-school aged students with disabilities entering and exiting the school bus, ensuring their safety before and during transportation, and adhering to all required guidelines. The ability to build rapport and trust with the students is very important.
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Prior School Bus Attendant, Childcare Aide, or experience with the special need’s population a plus.
- Applicants are required to pass Easterseals and Philadelphia School District required clearances, pre-employment drug testing and alcohol screening.
