Job Description

Job Title: Automation Lead – WebdriverIO

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 24+ Months

 

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation Lead with strong hands-on experience in WebdriverIO and JavaScript/TypeScript to lead automation testing for web applications.

 

The candidate will work with QA, development, and offshore/onshore teams to build and maintain automation frameworks, improve test coverage, and support high-quality releases.

 

Responsibilities

·         Lead QA automation activities for web applications

·         Develop and maintain automation frameworks using WebdriverIO

·         Write and execute automated tests for functional, regression, and integration testing.

·         Work with JavaScript/TypeScript for automation development

·         Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

·         Coordinate with onshore/offshore QA teams

·         Work closely with developers and business teams to identify and resolve issues

·         Review automation code and promote best practices

·         Mentor and support QA automation engineers

·         Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release activities

 

Required Skills

·         Strong QA Automation experience

·         Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO

·         Good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript

·         Experience with web application testing

·         Experience with automation frameworks and Page Object Model

·         Basic experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

·         Good understanding of Agile/Scrum

·         Experience leading or mentoring QA/automation teams

 

Preferred

·         Experience in enterprise applications

·         Telecom/Cable domain experience is a plus

·         API testing experience is a plus

·         Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams
