Job Title: SQL BI Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 Months

Visa: No H1b/OPT

The role will focus primarily on SQL-based BI support and Power BI reporting, rather than application development.

Power BI paginated reports and SQL are the highest-priority skills.

Fabric, Databricks, Power Automate, .NET, and other tools are considered value-adds rather than hard requirements.

Interview process

• Typically two 30-minute rounds:
1. Initial conversation focused on interpersonal skills, interest, communication style, and general fit.
2. More technical discussion covering SQL, Power BI, and prior experience.
• A third/final interview may occur in rare cases.

Job description:

• 12-month contract supporting private investment teams.
• Strong SQL skills with tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong Power BI experience, especially paginated reports and basic data modeling.
• Provide production/BAU support, troubleshoot reporting and data issues, and resolve tickets.
• Work directly with business users to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Experience with SSRS, Databricks/Spark SQL, Power Automate, or Microsoft BI tools is a plus.
• Must be a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• First 3–6 months will focus heavily on production support and troubleshooting; long-term work is approximately 80% support / 20% projects.
