Title: Power BI Developer - Level 1
Location: Akron, OH 
Contract: W2 only, 2 year contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
Pay: $40-$48/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

This position reports to the Asset Information & Tools (AIT) group and is located at the Fairlawn facility in Akron. The AIT group is responsible for partnering with the client’s Transmission and Distribution organizations to implement the tools, processes and procedures necessary to support the client’s asset management and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.
• Analyzing complex issues and developing actionable recommendation; ensuring decisions impacting the organization are based on data and sound reasoning.
• Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and expectations.
• Developing PowerBI reporting solutions with emphasis on asset management and compliance.
• Utilize Power BI to gather, transform, and visualize data from various sources such as Oracle, Excel, APIs, and SQL, creating interactive dashboards that present key insights to stakeholders.
• Work closely with system owners and business stakeholders to enhance data quality and resolve data integration issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Transmission and Distribution business units to understand data requirements, design meaningful visualizations, and drive informed decisions.
• Train end-users on effectively utilizing Power BI tools to meet their specific needs, fostering a data-driven culture.
• Participating in team design discussions and exploring creative solutions to existing business challenges.
• Performing testing and validation of reporting solution candidates prior to migration to production.
• Work with Leadership to define work assignments, priorities and provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with other PowerBI developers.
