Systems Automation Engineer

job summary:

Seeking a Systems Automation Engineer to support and automate a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment. This hybrid, mid-level role will focus primarily on SCCM administration, Windows desktop imaging, Group Policy, security patching, Active Directory, and desktop hardening. The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with strong Windows administration and automation experience who can work independently, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve existing processes.

responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft SCCM / Configuration Manager, including software deployment, endpoint management, and system configuration.
• Manage Windows desktop imaging, including image creation, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Windows automation processes to improve the efficiency and consistency of system administration.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Manage Microsoft Windows security patching, including deployment, validation, and remediation.
• Support Active Directory administration and related Windows infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain desktop hardening and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot issues involving SCCM, Windows imaging, Group Policy, patching, and endpoint configuration.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve automation, standardization, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and end-user support teams.

qualifications:

Mid-level experience supporting Microsoft Windows enterprise environments, with hands-on expertise in SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager, Windows desktop imaging, Group Policy, security patching, Active Directory, and desktop hardening. Experience with Windows automation and PowerShell scripting is strongly preferred. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills, be comfortable working independently, and demonstrate a proactive, self-starting approach.
