Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow - Jira Integration Developer to design, develop, and support seamless bidirectional integrations between ServiceNow and Jira. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow development, Jira administration, REST API integrations, and workflow automation to enable efficient service management processes across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement bidirectional integrations between ServiceNow and Jira.
- Develop REST/SOAP API-based integrations and automation workflows.
- Configure ticket synchronization for Incidents, Problems, Changes, Tasks, and Service Requests.
- Build custom scripts, Business Rules, Flow Designer workflows, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and other integration components within ServiceNow.
- Configure Jira automation rules, webhooks, workflow transitions, and administration settings.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration architecture.
- Ensure security, audit, compliance, and data governance standards are met.
- Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow Development (ITSM preferred).
- Experience in developing and supporting third-party integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ServiceNow Flow Designer
- Business Rules
- Script Includes
- Client Scripts
- Strong JavaScript development expertise.
- Experience with Jira Administration and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Hands-on experience with Jira webhooks, automation rules, and workflow configuration.
- Experience with API integrations and handling JSON/XML payloads.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) and/or CAD (Certified Application Developer) certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub.
- Experience with Middleware/integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience working on enterprise transformation and IT Service Management (ITSM) programmes.
