Senior Java Developer | 6 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid, Leeds/Sheffield/London (1 day per month)| Starting ASAP | SC Clearance

Day Rate: £480

About the Role:

Harvey Nash's Client have multiple requirements for Senior Java Developers, you must hold Active SC Clearance or be confident of eligibility.

Skills and Experience

• Strong, recent experience developing applications using modern Java and Spring Boot. Experience with Legacy Java versions is advantageous.
• Experience developing Front End applications. Experience with Thymeleaf and the GOV.UK Design System is desirable.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including API versioning. Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) is desirable.
• Experience working with relational databases and data access technologies such as SQL, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate. Oracle database experience is desirable.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit 5 and mocking frameworks.
• Experience writing automated UI regression tests, ideally using Playwright with Java.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Helm charts.
• Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and structured logging using tools such as OpenSearch and Prometheus.
• Experience applying software design principles and design patterns to produce maintainable, scalable applications.
