Senior Wireless Engineer - Aruba with Security Clearance

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Network Engineer – Wireless to sit Hybrid at Fort Meade. This individual will serve as the technical lead for a large-scale enterprise Aruba wireless environment supporting mission-critical Department of Defense operations. The engineer will drive wireless architecture, RF optimization, secure access solutions, and modernization initiatives across a geographically distributed network. This role requires deep expertise in Aruba AOS 10, Aruba Central, ClearPass, 802.1X authentication, and network security integration.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on wireless expert who can lead complex deployments, solve challenging connectivity and authentication issues, collaborate across network and cybersecurity teams, and deliver highly available, secure wireless services at enterprise scale.

Must-Haves

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• IAT Level II Certification
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 10+ years of experience
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks across multiple sites
• Strong Aruba wireless expertise including Access Points, Gateways/Controllers, and Aruba Central
• Experience with Aruba AOS 10 environments
• Strong 802.11 and RF engineering knowledge including coverage, interference, capacity planning, and roaming optimization
• Experience with 802.1X, EAP-TLS, RADIUS, certificate-based authentication, and Aruba ClearPass or similar NAC platforms
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network segmentation
• Experience leading deployments, troubleshooting complex issues, and creating engineering documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Exact Pay will vary based on candidate overall experience, depth on knowledge, education level and certifications amongst many other factors. However, we anticipate paying 140K to 185K for this opening as well as providing a comprehensive benefits package including Health, Vision, Dental, and 401K benefits.
